Redhall were approached through an existing relationship with NHS Waveney Head office and invited to consult on a technical Audio Visual requirement at the regional Kings Lynn offices. Our brief was to design and install a meeting room solution, primarily for large screen presentations, but with the ability to connect and interact with other locations via on screen video conferencing.


With experience of integrating audio visual hardware in all manner of work environments, we were conscious of delivering the most technically appropriate solution, but making the client ‘usability’ as simple as possible. We are very aware in the video conferencing product sector that if it’s too complicated it won’t get used.

Fitting a 55in full HD LED screen to the meeting room wall, it would provide the size and image quality necessary to deliver dynamic presentations with the addition of sound. Connecting laptops and devices is made possible through a simple wall fitted interface, with all cabling concealed for a neat appearance and seamless finish. For the video conferencing element, a ‘Skype for Business’ compatible hardware solution was proposed, offering easy one touch dialling, crisp audio relay via a table top microphone and stunning on screen video quality.

The 2-factor authentication solution provided added an extra layer of security, meaning end-users logged on with their usual username and password, but also with an additional one-time use password. End-users have a choice of using a key fob, software on their laptop or an app on their phone to generate the one-time password making it very easy to use.


This system has transformed the way internal management teams can conduct meetings, by connecting with external staff over a high quality Skype based video link. This potentially means a cost saving against travel, along with improvements in time related working efficiencies. Meeting content is displayed with ultra-clarity (eg. Powerpoint slides), which means greater retention of information amongst those involved, whether internal or remotely based.

In this case Redhall has delivered a cost effective AV solution with an emphasis on quality and simplicity of use.
